Dr. Kathleen Lawrence, ND
Naturopathic Doctor
As your naturopathic doctor, my goal is to help you feel your best so that you can live the life that you want. I aid you in supporting your body with a personalized treatment plan by taking a detailed history, physical exam, and checking pertinent routine and/or specialty lab tests.
I believe that the natural state of the body is health. To foster health, we must create an environment in which your body can return to optimal health, however that looks for you. In naturopathic medicine, we look at the body as a whole, not a series of systems that work independently of each other. With this wholistic view of the body we can target disturbances to normal function to get you feeling better.
To nurture an environment of health, I prescribe varying combinations of treatment modalities I’ve been trained in, including, but not limited to:
Nutrition
Lifestyle modification
Hydrotherapy
Dry needling
Homeopathy
Musculoskeletal adjustments
Personalized herbal formulas
Nutritional supplementation
Breath work
Pharmaceutical medication
Most importantly, we will work together to make a plan that is achievable, sustainable, and effective so you can live more freely. Whether you have a chronic problem, just feel like something is off, or want to take care for your future self, I can’t wait to help.
Conditions I treat (not an exhaustive list!):
Menstrual problems- irregular periods, painful periods, missing periods, heavy periods
PCOS

About me:
I’m a native of the Willamette Valley. I grew up in Eugene, Oregon. My love for science blossomed when I took AP Biology, becoming absolutely fascinated by photosynthesis. I learned more and more about the living world around us, and after experiencing the health benefits of nutrition myself, I discovered the fascinating world of naturopathic medicine. I received my Bachelor’s of Science in Biology with minors in Chemistry and Spanish from Oregon State University. I completed my degree in Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, Arizona at Sonoran University of Health Sciences. After graduating, I worked at a clinic focused on hydrotherapy and physiotherapy. There, I strengthened my understanding and love of Nature Cure.
I’m more than excited now to join the team here at Essential Family Wellness so I can walk with patients on their path to health! In my free time, I enjoy practicing yoga, hiking, camping, knitting, reading, caring for my houseplants, trying all the coffee shops I can, and spending time with my loved ones.
